Easy as 1, 2, 3...*

I've always loved Clinique as brand, whether it's because their products were the first I stole from my mum's draw at a young age or just because the quality of their products is so damn good. So when I had the opportunity to try out their 3 step range I obviously wasn't going to pass up, the routine consists of a liquid facial soap, a clarifying lotion and then a moisturiser in either a lotion, cream or gel formula depending on your skin type.

They've come up with a specific product routine for each skin type, so it caters completely to your needs, if you're like me and just normally grab a moisturiser/cleanser/toner that looks to be good/has super pretty packaging then this will be completely new to you as well. They ask you to take a small questionnaire which asks you a series of questions about your lifestyle so they can determine what skin type you have. You can do this either online or you can pop to any Clinique counter and speak with one of their specialists.

I used to slip with my skin routine a lot, I had way too many days where I'd be so tired in the evening that I'd just rule out the routine and retreat to my bed for a night of PLL But with this routine I felt a lot more committed. I guess I had a lot more faith that it would work because I knew that it was matched to my skin type rather than just another product off the shelf in Boots (feeling bad for all the products in my drawers that are being completely shunned right now).

Even after using the routine for a few days I could notice a difference, my skin was glowing and felt so healthy. The one product I would have to say you invest if you don't want to do the whole routine would be the moisturiser, holy hell that stuff is so damn good, they have a lotion which is for dry-combination skin, a cream specifically for drier skin and then a gel which is suited to more oily skin. I've never been one to suffer with bad skin when it comes to spots etc, for that I count myself extremely lucky but I do have dry and sensitive skin, anyone else that has sensitive skin will know how much of a struggle it is to find products that don't leave you with a bad reaction, which is another reason I have completely fallen in love with these products.

If you're unsure about what your skin type is I'd totally recommend stopping by your local Clinique counter, they're often happy to give you a few samples which is a great option if you want to make sure the 3 step routine is for you before committing to the full size products!
